Music & Nature Retreats 2011
Point Reyes Music and Nature Retreats
with Joyce K and Claire Peaslee
The Changing Season — October 22 & 23, 2011
Whether you have played classical music your whole life or dabble in a little jazz, a weekend, three day, or four day immersion in music in scenic Point Reyes will provide you with a memorable musical journey in the heart of mother nature and into the heart of your own nature.
A deeply intuitive teacher and multi-instrumentalist/composer, Joyce K, will be your guide, using listening and video resources, numerous instruments, a strong sense of where you may need to challenge yourself, and specific methods for practicing that development, both in the gatherings and when you arrive home.
In your morning hours, you will have a large variety of options for walks in the woods, hills, beaches, ranch land, and bays with professional naturalist, Claire Peaslee, longtime radio personality on West Coast Live with Sedge Thompson.
Accommodations are the responsibility of participants. The area is filled with low, middle, and high-end motels, hotels, inns, and classy B&Bs. For homey comfort and great views, try Windsong Cottage or Knob Hill Cottages.
Meals will also be the choice of the participants, but Point Reyes Station also boasts of more than one 5-star quality restaurant or food outlet. The home of Cowgirl Creamery and Strauss Family Creamery, Point Reyes Station is the artisan cheese capital of northern California.
